 The Systems Engineer (SE) will be a member of the Sponsor's ERP Management Division (EMD), Payroll Migration Team, providing IT support to the government Program Manager overseeing a high-priority, large-scale effort to migrate the Sponsor's payroll to a shared service provider.  The SE's primary responsibilities consist of, but is not limited to, the following: 
 Leading technical discussions with interface partners in assessing the current and future state of payroll applications/systemsAnalyzing the current state of all the Agency's payroll applications, systems, and interfacesAssisting in identifying and documenting the payroll business processes, and assist in data mapping of current state payroll systems to future-state payroll systemsAssisting in documenting all of the internal and external payroll interfaces associated with the payroll applications/systemsDesigning the future state of all the Agency's payroll applications. systems and interfacesPerform data mapping and analysis of current data fields against a shared service provider's requirements needed to support payroll processingAssist with designing and building a cloud-based bi-directional interface with our payroll shared service providerAddressing issues related to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platformsWork with business and technical partners to deliver robust systems that meet stakeholder needs Qualifications
 
 
 
 Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with a polygraphBS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7 or relevant experience (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline Analytical and conceptual skills; ability to develop original concepts/theories for various projects Technology Design - Adapting equipment and technology to meet user needs Ability to logically and systematically convert customer or product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Extensive experience in systems and network design and developmentDemonstrated experience with developing or migrating large-scale enterprise projects to an AWS private cloud-hosting environmentDemonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starterExperience in successful life-cycle software development projectsAbility to translate stakeholder needs/requirements into software solutions that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositoriesStrong customer service and teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional teamDemonstrated ability to adjust to changing prioritiesAbility to analyze and study complex system requirements, for example:
