Job Description:

The Distribution Account Manager's main focus is to drive incremental growth, achieve goals and exceed quota responsibility. As part of the job, the Distribution Account Manager will be asked to create, implement and manage annual plans with assigned accounts; manage the day-to-day activities of the account, while cultivating key account relationships; coordinate with internal Fortinet groups (Marketing, Finance, Operations, Accounting, Legal, Sales, Engineering etc.) as necessary; and serve as the lead contact to assist and support activities associated with executing all Enterprise, Commercial, SLED and SMB sales team opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Implement annual/quarterly marketing plans to drive incremental growth, achieve goals and exceed quota responsibility.
  • Serve as lead contact responsible for all day-to-day business through assigned accounts.
  • Work closely with all Fortinet Sales teams (Enterprise, Commercial, SLED, and SMB) to manage pipeline opportunities, and recruit and identify new opportunities through each Distribution partner.
  • Equip assigned accounts to enable, train and grow Fortinet's authorized partner community.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key executives, decision makers, influencers at each assigned account.
  • Ensure assigned account inventory levels, forecasts, pricing, and SKU catalog are managed effectively and accurately.
  • Provide insights regarding market intelligence, competition, as well as updates to product availability, lead times, delivery scheduling, etc. to internal Fortinet stakeholders and management.
  • Act as a point of contact to increase assigned account knowledge relative to product, support, services, resources and competitive differentiators.
  • Perform detailed, clear and accurate data analysis and reporting as required.
  • Act as liaison between our sales teams and the distributors to help build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.



Required Skills



  • Minimum 5+ years' experience working with large distributors, preferably in cyber security / networking field.
  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Power Point skills; ability to develop content and present complex information to large audiences in a clear and effective manner.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ability to manipulate data using pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com and Tableau a plus.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. On target earnings for this position is expected to be $178,000 - $200,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, and this position is also eligible for commissions based on the terms of the Sales Compensation Plan
