Together We Grow - One Mission, One Team - With a Commitment to Serve Scope of Work: The primary purpose of the Supply Technician is to provide support for the CMMARS AV-8B project at MCAS Cherry Point, including inventory management, material handling, and requisition processing to ensure efficient site operations. Responsibilities:
- Manages expendable and nonexpendable supplies, including requisitioning, stock control, delivery, warehousing, and inventory tracking.
- Analyzes usage trends, seasonal demands, pricing, and program requirements to determine appropriate stock levels and replenishment schedules.
- Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels to prevent work stoppages and ensure proper rotation and timely use of inventory, including perishable and high-value items.
- Ensures proper storage, labeling, and security of all materials in compliance with safety standards and theft prevention protocols.
- Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemical products in inventory.
- Performs routine pickup, delivery, and distribution of supplies, amenities, and equipment to designated work centers.
- Identifies, salvages, and disposes of obsolete or damaged supplies and equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation for nonexpendable property and supports government-mandated property accountability requirements.
- Oversee warehousing operations in accordance with established safety protocols and supply chain standards.
- Maintains an organized and up-to-date cataloging system for inventory, reference materials, parts descriptions, and specifications to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Ensures proper preventive maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment and tools.
- Administers and tracks the issuance of safety boots, safety glasses, and other program-related items.
- Consistently delivers high-quality service while maintaining compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs all duties in a safe, professional, and mission-supportive manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet operational requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in inventory management, supply operations, or asset distribution.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, including successful completion of a Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- Proficient in data entry and experienced with current computer applications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Windows-based operating systems.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must maintain any licenses or credentials required for the position.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities or assignments with short notice.
- Able to perform in high-paced, multi-tasking environments and meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Self-motivated, flexible, organized, and detail oriented.
- Must maintain eligibility for access to a government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) frequent physical activity in a warehouse or supply environment. Duties involve regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 60 pounds, and occasionally maneuver heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids. Tasks may also require working in awkward positions and operating material handling equipment.
- Must have working knowledge of worksite safety practices and be aware of occupational hazards.
- Must be able to work alternate or extended shifts as required to support mission operations, including weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
