The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The licensed Athletic Trainer assists in executing established program policies and procedures and assumes responsibility for maintaining program standards. The AT is an extension of the supervising physician and is to be compliant with the supervising physician s standing orders implementing medical and risk management of all persons covered within these orders. The AT should regularly consult and communicate with the supervising physician on the medical management of each athlete and/or patient as needed. They will provide extender support in the physician office for musculoskeletal and concussion care. This will include providing evaluation and testing, support for non-invasive procedures and, clinical support for patient management within the physician practice setting. The AT will also assist in education and in organizing and providing community programs on or offsite while establishing and/or maintaining communication with physician practices, schools and various institutions and will enhance academic enrichment through providing preceptor support for athletic training students onsite as needed. The AT should have the ability to help cover Morahan Screening programs as well as be willing to travel to various Morahan clinical sites throughout New Jersey. They will also assist with the promotion and execution of tactics of enhancing referrals to the Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Institute, the Morahan Center, and all Barnabas Health Ambulatory Services as it relates to sports injury and musculoskeletal care.
