Our Sports Medicine Section at Corwell Health Medical Group prides itself on providing comprehensive care for conditions involving the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. We are recruiting for an Operative Sports Medicine BC/BE MD or DO with fellowship training in Sports Medicine. This is a wonderful opportunity to create a niche sports medicine practice with a mix of general orthopedics. The Sports Medicine team consists of 11 highly specialized providers with sub specialization in sports medicine, hip arthroscopy, shoulder/elbow reconstruction, cartilage preservation and regenerative medicine. The entire Orthopedic team, 48 providers and growing, strives to deliver high quality, efficient, patient centered care in the community and has a full complement of support staff.

We help patients avoid injury by using an evidence-based approach to treatment, which may include:

*Advanced imaging

*Focused injury prevention programs

*On-site physical therapy

*Regenerative medicine and rehabilitation

Corewell Health Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physicians connect with the community covering a multitude of high school, collegiate programs and professional teams; the Grand Rapids Gold, the West Michigan Whitecaps, Grand Rapids Ballet, Irish Jig, Amway Riverbank Run, Davenport and Calvin University along with multiple gymnastic groups.

Practice Location

Clinics will be in Grand Haven and Holland until the opening of the Zeeland clinic in 2026. Clinics will be Grand Haven and Zeeland upon moving to Zeeland clinic.

Surgical blocks at Grand Haven and Zeeland Hospital.

Call responsibilities at Zeeland Hospital: 8-9 nights per month (which includes 3 ER nights per month)

BC/BE MD or DO with fellowship training in Sports Medicine
