Position: Power Platform Solutions Analyst

Department: Information Technology

Reports to: VP of IT, Strategy & Innovation

Status: Exempt

Summary

The Power Platform Solutions Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting business processes across departments and translating them into effective digital solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. This role collaborates with stakeholders to understand operational workflows, recommend improvements, and assist in the design and implementation of tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to drive efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Partner with business units to assess and document current-state processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and process maps.
  • Design, prototype, and support the development of Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of Power Platform tools.
  • Monitor and evaluate solution performance, incorporating feedback and enhancements as needed.
  • Stay current with Power Platform updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve solution quality and innovation.
  • Support broader IT initiatives, including data governance, system upgrades, and cross-functional technology projects.
  • Assist in maintaining data pipelines and dashboards to ensure accurate reporting and operational visibility.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation across the organization.
  • Assists VP of IT, Strategy & Innovation with project management duties for large installations of new technology; assists with the development of data and reporting to ensure appropriate availability of data for analysis and management needs; and provides ongoing oversight of data dashboards to ensure analysis is driving operational decisions that ensure growth of sales and profits.
  • Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Ensures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.


Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the VP of IT, Strategy & Innovation.


Qualifications

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS) or relevant field; or Associates Degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS) or relevant field with two (2) years' experience in the relevant field; or High School diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) years' relevant experience which enables the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position.
  • Five (5) years prior experience in business process automation, workflow optimization, or solution development using low-code/no-code platforms required.
  • Prior experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) required.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools such as Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar technologies is required.


Skills/Abilities/Qualifications



  • Proficiency with Microsoft software and excellent proficiency and understanding of Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Knowledge and experience with AI/ML tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Fabric/Power Platform (BI, Apps, Automate), or similar business intelligence platforms preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Proficiency in identifying issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and ability to identify errors/problems to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Above average interpersonal skills and ability to work across the organization and levels of employees; must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team or independently.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel within Goodwill Keystone Area territory.
