Executive Service VETERANS SERVICES REGIONAL DIRECTOR Department of Veterans Services Claims Services Division Knoxville, TN Salary: $6,479.00 Monthly Closing Date: 07/24/2025This position is designated mobile. Job Overview: Under the general direction of the Director of Benefit Operations, Tennessee Department of Veterans Services, the Regional Director leads, supervises and manages a team of Veteran Service Officers (VSO) spread across West Tennessee. The Regional Director is responsible for training, mentoring and coaching both VSOs and County Veteran Service Officers (CSO) assisting claimants in the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs benefits. Performance of these duties requires frequent interaction with veterans, dependents, and survivors as well as U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs employees. Professional staff administrative work in support of Division operations and performance of related work is also required. Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree or military pay grade of an E-7 or above with an honorable discharge. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time Veterans benefits experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
