Overview
Utah State University (USU) is seeking a knowledgeable and student-focused individual to serve as an Adjunct Instructor at the USU Tooele Statewide Campus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in undergraduate nursing education through classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.

We are especially interested in candidates with strong Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), Leadership, and Critical Care expertise, and those with a working knowledge of concept-based curriculum design and delivery.

Responsibilities
The Adjunct Instructor will serve as an educator in the classroom, clinical and lab settings in USU's Nursing Program, supporting students in both didactic and hands-on learning environments. Key responsibilities include:
  • Teaching and supervising undergraduate nursing students in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings
  • Collaborating with faculty to support course and program objectives
  • Utilizing a concept-based curriculum approach to enhance learning and clinical reasoning
  • Maintaining current knowledge of nursing practice and education best practices
  • Promoting a positive, collaborative, and student-centered learning environment


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or current enrollment in a Master's program with anticipated completion soon
  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience
  • Eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Utah
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technological skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teaching and mentoring

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Medical/Surgical, Leadership, and/or Critical Care Nursing
  • Experience teaching in a concept-based curriculum
  • At least three years of experience in higher education
  • Experience working within a multi-campus academic system
