Position Summary:



Yeshiva University's Katz School of Science and Health is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to assist in the operation of the Medical Speech-Language Pathology clinical externships, which include expanding clinical affiliations, mentoring students, and providing direct supervision for clinical contact hours. The staff member must be able to work with administration, faculty, and students to support the graduate program. This is a remote position; however, the candidate must be available to come to campus as needed.



Position Responsibilities:



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Serve as a clinical liaison with clinical sites
  • Provide direct supervision of graduate students
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations and clinical initiatives
  • Manage contracts in EXXAT
  • Coordinate and prepare students for their specific externship placements
  • Expand and secure affiliation agreements to provide diverse clinical opportunities for our students based on population, setting, disorders, and location
  • Maintain documentation records of the clinical supervisor's credentials and continuing education as per the CAA
  • Correspond and provide training for externship clinical supervisors on the use of clinical tracking software (i.e., EXXAT)
  • Serve as liaison between clinical education and academic coursework
  • Work with externship sites to build positive relationships and place students each semester to ensure they meet their hour requirement for graduation and certification
  • Participate in regular site visits at the externship placements to ensure continuity of education and support for YU students
  • Provide student mentorship/advisement, and support
  • Direct supervision for students earning clinical contact hours
  • Other duties as assigned



Experience & Educational Background:




  • Master's or higher in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • ASHA certification in SLP
  • Hold, or be eligible for, NYS SLP licensure
  • Prior supervision experience at the graduate level
  • Organizational skills are needed to manage and maintain clinical contracts and student records



Salary Range:



$70,000 - $80,000
