Assistant Professional Assistant Researcher - Center for Global Cardiometabolic Health and Nutrition (CGCHN)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited for an Assistant Professional Researcher position to work on precision medicine and population health and nutrition projects at the University of California - Irvine, CA.

The candidate will be primarily working in the Center for Global Cardiometabolic Health and Nutrition (CGCHN) with an academic appointment in the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Medicine at UCI. They will work on topics related to data analysis, statistical methods and computational tools development for precision medicine (integrative analysis of genome-wide sequencing/omics data related to cardiometabolic diseases and related disorders in population cohorts), nutritional epidemiology and gene-element interactions.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and initiative are required.

Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. with experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, computer science, or bioinformatics. The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experiences.
