* *On-site| San Antonio, TX 78251* * *Start Date:* July 28, 2025 * *Contract Duration:* 6 month (*On going Contract) * * *Pay Rate:* $22.00-$23.00/hr DOE * *Workplace Type:* On-site *Job Summary* We are seeking a hands-on *Deployment Technician* to join our world-class data center team in San Antonio. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in *data center operations*, *cabling*, and *hardware* *deployment*. You'll be responsible for racking, stacking, troubleshooting, and supporting IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Prepare, stage, and install hardware (racks, drives, switches) per documented procedures. * Perform quality checks on grounding, labeling, and cabling. * Troubleshoot and replace faulty components using standard diagnostics. * Decommission and refresh hardware (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds). * Follow safety protocols and escalate issues to Data Center Technician Leads. * Support logistics: shipping/receiving, RMA processing, and asset tracking. * Perform MOR (Middle of Rack) buildouts, power cycles, and firmware updates. * Handle and reconcile Data Bearing Devices (DBDs) and perform audits. *Must-Have Skills* * Data center deployment experience (cabling, server builds). * Experience in cable pulling, warehouse, or logistics environments. * Familiarity with site setup, safety protocols, and Network Design Tasks (NDTs). * Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. * 1+ year of IT support or related technical experience. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). * Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends/holidays. *Nice-to-Have Skills* * Previous data center experience * Networking basics (IP, cabling, connectivity troubleshooting) * Fiber link cleaning and cable testing/QC *Required PPE* * ANSI/CE/EN-approved safety glasses with side shields * Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact-resistant gloves * Steel/composite toe boots (6" ankle coverage) * High-visibility vest * Cloth or N95 mask (no gaiters, scarves, or bandanas) *Why Join Us?* Be part of a rapidly growing major tech company Data Center team Gain exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure and deployment practices Opportunity for long-term growth and skill development *Benefits * * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) with pre-tax and Roth options * Life and disability insurance * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Paid time off (PTO, vacation, or sick leave) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
