Job Title: Learning Content Designer (Part-Time Contractor)

Employment Type: Part-Time Contract (20 hours per week)

Position Summary

We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented contractor to help us design engaging training content and support internal learning initiatives. This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for professionals with backgrounds in communications, design, or instructional development who enjoy turning ideas into clear, visually engaging learning materials.

This role focuses on transforming subject matter expert (SME) content into simple, user-friendly digital learning tools and supporting occasional training coordination. Familiarity with instructional design principles or e-learning tools is a plus, but we're open to training the right candidate with strong design or communication skills.

Key Responsibilities



  • Course Design & Development:


    • Create visually engaging learning materials using provided templates and tools
    • Work with SMEs to organize and simplify technical or complex information
    • Draft course materials including slides, visuals, or digital modules
    • Incorporate videos, simulations, quizzes, and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration:


    • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather necessary content and insights for course creation.
    • Translate complex topics into clear, learner-friendly content suitable for diverse employee roles and levels.



Potential Additional Responsibilities as Time Allows



  • LMS Administration & Training Coordination


    • Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) uploads, tests, and maintaining training courses, ensuring smooth functionality and accessibility.
    • Help monitor training completion rates and generate basic reports as required.
    • Schedule and help coordinate local training sessions



Qualifications & Skills

Required:



  • Strong visual and written communication skills
  • Ability to simplify information and organize it clearly
  • Background in communications, graphic design, marketing, education, or a related field


  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.


Preferred but not required:



  • Familiarity with Articulate360, Lectora, or other learning development tools
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with LMS platforms for course upload, testing, and reporting.
  • Experience in corporate, automotive, or manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of SCORM and xAPI standards.
