Pay:

Visterra offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $185,000 to $215,000 annually, but actual compensation will vary depending upon new hire experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Role Overview:

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and managing regional landscape operations across Visterra Landscape Group. This role ensures the consistent execution of landscape maintenance, enhancements, and construction services in line with company standards, safety protocols, and financial targets. The Vice President of Operations overseas will support existing platform leadership growth and performance as well as provide operational leadership through transition, acquisition, and coverage gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadership as needed for operations in transition, acquisitions, and / or gaps in coverage.
  • Oversee Support day-to-day operations across multiple landscape branches, including maintenance, sweep, enhancement, snow and construction divisions.
  • Implement and enforce company-wide standards for job quality, production efficiency, and safety compliance.
  • Drive operational KPIs include labor hours, route efficiency, revenue per crew, material utilization, and gross margin.
  • Lead Oversee seasonal labor planning, workforce deployment, and scheduling to meet production demands.
  • Partner with platform leadership, branch, and regional managers to optimize job costing, equipment usage, and resource planning.
  • Support integration of new acquisitions into Visterra's operational model and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate Align account management with operations and sales to ensure contract execution and service delivery align with client expectations.
  • Develop and mentor regional leadership, including Directors of Operations, Branch Managers, and Production Managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Landscape Management, Horticulture, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of operational leadership experience in the landscaping industry, preferably with multi-branch or regional responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of landscape maintenance, enhancements, and construction operations at scale.
  • Proven track record of managing large field teams, production crews, and support staff across multiple locations.
  • Experience with job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability in a landscape service environment.
  • Familiarity with industry systems such as Aspire, LMN, BOSS, or other landscape-specific business management software.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, safety culture, and process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of fleet, irrigation, equipment logistics, and seasonal workforce dynamics in landscaping.
