Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The UNCW Department of Athletics sponsors 19 varsity sports and competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association. UNCW Athletics' mission is to enrich the University through a commitment to developing leadership qualities among its student-athletes by providing opportunities that support and promote academic excellence, community engagement, and competitive success.

  • Attend donor functions and maintain key relationships for the Seahawk Club.
  • Assist in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding private support from donors and prospects. Attend athletics events, speaking engagements, and donor visits.
  • Advise the Director of Athletics on all key issues for the Baseball Program.
  • Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of UNCW Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sports program.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
  • Because of the nature of athletic schedules, the selected candidate may be required to work flexible hours to meet the various demands of the operation.
  • Travel will be required.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be highly dependable, flexible, and available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Work effectively as a team member.
