EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE! The Strategic Project Lead is responsible navigating ambiguous environments and acting as a crucial liaison with city officials and partners. You will manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of diverse initiatives.

Additionally, you'll be the primary client POC for executive-level events, supporting event managers and empowering the team by providing essential tools and training.

85% - Strategic Projects

  • Leads strategic projects initiated by Maritz or client, which may encompass administrative, technical, or event-specific initiatives that fall outside the standard operational framework. Works effectively in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. Synthesizes information from diverse sources, particularly for city permits, and serve as a crucial liaison with various City officials and key client partners.

  • Responsible for presenting regular, high-level project updates to senior client teams. Identifies and mitigates potential risks and challenges to project success, developing contingency plans as needed. Monitors and reports on project progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.

  • Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams. Act as a dedicated client Point of Contact (POC) for specialized programs and initiatives. The ability to manage budgets, oversee projects on-site and off-campus, and cultivate strong relationships with partner teams and key stakeholders including facilities, ESO, Janitorial, Plant Care, Security, Catering, and 3rd Party vendors as well as city officials.

15% - Executive Meeting Program Liaison & Team Enablement

  • Serve as primary client POC for Executive Meeting Management (XMM) program, overseeing events for the highest-level executives.

  • Proactively mitigate issues, strictly adhere to tight SLAs for complex, high-stakes events. Support event managers through all stages, ensuring needs are anticipated and met, experience significant exposure to executive event producers.

  • Empower the team through identifying and providing the right tools and technologies, and ensuring they receive the necessary training to excel and deliver exceptional results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field required. CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) Certification a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in event management and experience design, particularly on executive level events.

  • Ability to thrive in an agile, continuously changing environment. Proven ability promoting change and efficiencies within an organization.

  • Strong knowledge of program/event management, budget maintenance and leading teams/projects

  • Experience navigating complex organizational dynamics and effectively communicating with all levels of leadership, including executives.

  • Prior successful experience in developing, managing, and maintaining key client relationships and in effectively overseeing multiple projects/demands.

  • Professional oral presentation and writing skills required. Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G Suite & ability to learn new technology quickly.

  • Initiative-taking; ability to work independently; strong leadership skills

Your manager will work with you to ensure your schedule is balanced.
