  • Assists with the planning and facilitation of classroom programming and classroom coordination and organization for a early childhood education facility according to established curriculums
  • Updates and organizes individualized and developmental educational plans for children
  • Documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations
  • Assists with basic technical and administrative classroom support
  • Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom
Department:

Early Childhood Education Assistant Teachers will work within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, which is a federally funded, preschool program for low-income families.

Head Start employeeshave the opportunity towork with 384 children and their families every school year. We have seven centers in five different cities throughout Winnebago, Calumet, Outagamie, and Shawano Counties.

Staff wellness is prioritized through available individual/group reflective practice, Practice Based Coaching, and wellness initiatives.

Compensation:

$17.20 - $18.35 per hour

Required Qualifications:
  • Completed or current enrollment in an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education program or a Preschool Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). If currently enrolled in either program they must be successfully completed within 9 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
