Essential Job Duties
The Division of Academic & Student Affairs ( DASA) is where students discover connections and community. The Office of Undergraduate Courses and Curricula and University Academic Standards ( OUCCAS) manages the approval process for all undergraduate course and curricular offerings at NC State, is responsible for implementation of the General Education Program ( GEP), and serves as a point of contact for on-campus as well as off-campus entities and works directly with the University of North Carolina General Administration ( UNC-GA), the University Courses and Curricula Committee ( UCCC), the Council on Undergraduate Education ( CUE), Registration and Records, the Colleges and the Provost's office regarding undergraduate course and curricula related matters.
Primary Purpose of Position:
This position will operate each semester (including Summer) as possible to work directly with OUCCAS staff to process and update information related to undergraduate education and faculty governance committee operations. This work involves anything from meeting administration to database and website management, system organization, and doing research regarding education as needed and based on the interest and background of the applicant. The work of the person in this position helps to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of course curricular approval through the structure of faculty governance
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the University Program Specialist:

    • Review actions coming to the office and fill out summary information needed to process forms and information.
    • Assist the office in observing and moving actions based on deadlines
    • Format agendas, attendance, minutes, and approval table for meetings
    • Log actions after meetings
    • Organize the share drive record system for easy file access
    • Combine past histories in the share drive from complete actions



  • Under the direction of the Director:
    • Assist in pulling together information and reports relating the undergraduate curricular process as necessary
