Geotab is seeking a Account Advisor, Federal and NSS who will functions as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to customers, responsible for driving long-term account growth, retention, and demonstrable return on investment (ROI) through effective relationship management and operational execution. What you'll do:

As a Account Advisor, Federal and NSS your key area of responsibility will be responsible for the implementation of the project tasks, as well as managing day-to-day activities. This role empowers customers to fully leverage the value of Geotab solutions by aligning internal resources, facilitating solution adoption, and delivering data-driven, actionable insights. By integrating customer enablement with sophisticated data engagement strategies, the Account Advisor ensures scalable success, solution loyalty, and continuous improvement across key accounts.You will also need to provide regular status reports to key partners to ensure the project is on time and meeting expectations.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.


How you'll make an impact:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their unique business needs, challenges, and objectives. Advocate for customer interests within the organization to ensure that Geotab solutions are tailored to their specific requirements and deliver optimal value.
  • Drive operational excellence by coordinating internal resources, managing account-related processes, and ensuring seamless communication between the customer and Geotab's various departments. Monitor account health, identify potential risks, and proactively address issues to prevent customer churn.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, including executives, managers, and technical staff. Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and explore opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive growth and retention by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, promoting solution adoption, and demonstrating the tangible value of Geotab solutions. Track key metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve account goals.
  • Leverage Geotab's data and analytics capabilities to provide customers with actionable insights that help them optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and achieve their business objectives. Present data in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key trends and recommendations.
  • Partner and collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, support, product, and engineering, to ensure that customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Facilitate communication and information sharing to drive alignment and resolve issues promptly.
  • Work closely with customers to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate the ROI of Geotab solutions. Provide regular reports and analysis to quantify the value delivered and showcase the impact on their business.
  • Lead Implementation strategies to ensure solution stickiness and prevent customer churn. Continuously monitor customer satisfaction, solicit feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Drive innovation and share best practices to enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop processes and systems that enable scalable success across assigned accounts. Leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent service delivery.


What you'll bring to the role:

  • 3 - 5 years of required previous experience in Customer-facing roles such as account management, customer support, or program coordination, ideally in the public sector or fleet management industry.
  • Experience supporting complex contracts or operational projects, including coordination with cross-functional team.
  • Exposure to escalated issue handling and process documentation.
  • Must meet Fedramp requirements or be Fedramp compliant.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, long-term customer relationships, particularly within government or large fleet environments, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure solution adoption and satisfaction.
  • Exceptional skill in delivering proactive operational support and building strong customer trust through seamless communication and internal advocacy.
  • In-depth understanding of government procurement and the unique operational challenges of fleet environments.
  • Strong ability to articulate solution ROI and leverage data to provide actionable business insights that drive customer optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong time management and attention to detail for efficient account management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, Jira, and Google Workspace.

The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be the range listed below. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position would depend on a variety of factors such as but not specific to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives or intends to live while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data.
