Wage: $54-65K
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting & People Operations Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. This hybrid role supports our financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general accounting-as well as being a key point of contact for office communications and People Operations. This candidate will work closely as an extension of HR and our Leadership Team. The ideal candidate is both numbers-savvy and people-minded, with strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
  • Process, reconcile and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable through Quickbooks online and internal systems.
  • Process customer deposits
  • Enter projects in Quickbooks and manage accordingly
  • Prepare and tie out weekly timesheets for submission to the payroll processor and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Assist accountant with monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations as needed
  • Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
  • Compile commissions information for sales team
  • Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
  • Coordinate with vendors, resolve invoice discrepancies and process vendor payments
  • Process weekly 401K payments
  • Execute Health Insurance Census for renewal and 401K Compliance reports annually
  • Maintain and update financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Act as stakeholder and point of contact for transitioning Accounting and HR processes to new platforms as the company grows
  • Manage customer PO's and unique billing
  • Manage and monitor accounting email box and coordinate with customers and vendors to resolve PO and invoice discrepancies
People Operations Support:
  • Assist with new hire onboarding
  • Assist with tracking and managing employee attendance and PTO.
  • Help coordinate safety trainings and ensure HR documentation is up to date
  • Support employee relations and serve as a liaison for HR
  • Support efforts to maintain compliance with state and federal employment laws
  • Address and initiate any office maintenance needs
  • Effectively communicate any company-wide announcements
  • First point of contact in work comp process
  • Order office/shop supplies
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll
  • Exposure to or experience in human resources a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processing
  • Expert proficiency in QuickBooks online and accounting/payroll software
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Prior experience in process improvement / project management a plus
  • Ability to juggle priorities
  • Ability to form and maintain strong business partnerships both internally and externally
Work Environment:
This position operates in an industrial manufacturing office setting. Frequent interaction with the plant floor and coordination with production staff is required.
