POSITION OVERVIEW

As our Team Member, this individual will report to our Group Lead and will perform a wide range of tasks in manufacturing including but not limited to machining parts, making and inspecting sub-assemblies as well as final assemblies of all of our roller and slide guide products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements.
  • Follows standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process.
  • Works with their team to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods.
  • Directly responsible for performance of duties within assigned work area.
  • Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Background and Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent mechanical training/aptitude/experience
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of teamwork
  • Desire to proactively identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements
  • Basic math skills and measurement skills
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM including some weekend hours

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with mechanical assembly
  • Proven ability to use CNC or grinding machinery
  • Experience deburring parts
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings or bills of materials
  • NIMs Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires repetitive hand motion 100% of the time
  • Hearing and visual acuity are required for this job 100% of the time
  • Speaking is required 85% of the time
  • Requires frequent walking or standing up to 85% of the day up to 12 hours a day
  • Lifting and pushing 45% of the time
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. without assistance and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
