Responsibilities

As the Manager of Nursing, you'll be the captain of our nursing ship, steering our amazing team to provide top-notch care to our young adults. You'll collaborate closely with our Medical Director and Director of Psychiatry, all while embodying the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare. Get ready for a fulfilling adventure!

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

  • Team Connector: Be the vital link between our nursing team and the Medical Director/Director of Psychiatry. Your communication skills will keep everyone in sync!
  • Delegation Dynamo: Assign shift-specific responsibilities to maximize efficiency and accuracy in nursing care. You'll be the maestro of organization, ensuring everything runs smoothly!
  • Clinical Shift Superstar: Jump in and perform 2-4 clinical shifts each month, stepping in for nurses on vacation or call-out. Your hands-on approach will keep our team strong and supported!
  • Chart Audit Champion: Conduct weekly chart audits and tackle any missing or erroneous documentation. Your eagle eye will help us maintain the highest standards!
  • Medication Monitor: Review all medication error reports and internal incident reports related to medications. You'll be the guardian of safety and compliance!
  • Compliance Connoisseur: Complete all compliance-related nursing documentation and treatment plans as needed. You'll help us stay on track with regulations and best practices!
  • Report Wizard: Compile and distribute reports as required, keeping the team informed and ready to rock!
  • Pharmacy Liaison: Communicate with local pharmacies about payment issues and collaborate with admissions staff to resolve any hiccups. You'll be the problem-solver extraordinaire!
  • Phlebotomy Pro: Perform phlebotomy when ordered by the MD and coordinate with Quest for pickup. You'll be the go-to for all things blood-related!
  • Policy Upholder: Uphold all policies and procedures of Newport Healthcare, ensuring we provide the best care possible with a smile!

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state in which you are applying required.
  • Minimum of two years of prior nursing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience preferred.
