Hybrid Bethesda MD Pay From: $90,000 MUST Cyber Security Analyst Active Secret Clearance required CompTIA Security+ required, CISSP preferred 2 - 3 years of experience in Incident Response Management. 2 to 4 years of computer-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required: Understanding of business security practices and procedures Knowledge of current DOD security tools available (splunk ) Hardware/software security implementation Different communication protocols Encryption techniques/tools Familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology. BS Degree in the Cyber Security field is desirable. 1-3 yrs relevant professional training and/or Information Security (INFOSEC) experience is an appropriate substitute for college coursework. DUTIES The Cybersecurity Analyst Identify, mitigate, and resolve IA issues and concerns. Develop and/or contribute to guidelines, plans, policies, analyses, and reviews that require IA expertise in the areas of security incident response. IA ticket assignment, tracking and response. Vulnerability scanning and remediation. Program Protection Plan (PPP) evaluation and other cybersecurity related activities and mandates. Obtain commercial and/or organization specific certifications/authorizations for new or modified systems, applications, designs in accordance with applicable standards. Assist in tracking certification and training requirements such as mandatory DoD IAT, IAM, and IASAE baseline certifications, and other mandated programs. Perform remediation or imaging activities to remediate security threats in response to security incidents. Review log files utilizing the Splunk Tool to identify anomalies and work with SAs for resolution. Resolve security issues identified by HBSS, Security Center, HQ-DODN, Cyber Comm, Nessus. Provides technical services for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems. Oversees the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements. Responsible for implementing and developing the customer IT security. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment. Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security. Provides support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems.
