Freedom for the soul. Are you ready to join us? Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the "jewel" of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Join our team as a Lead Material Quality Specialistand help build the world's most sought-after motorcycles. Containment of quality issues and protecting our customers from quality defects is a priority. This position requires extensive walking and standing with much of the day spent on the production floor. Serves as the first point of contact for supplier quality issues in Manufacturing and Assembly at H-D Powertrain Operations as well as at the Supplier. Will work extensively with hourly and salaried personnel to determine validity and extent of supplier quality issues. Leads efforts to drive improvements of quality strategies and objectives in a manufacturing environment. The ability to communicate quickly and clearly with all levels of H-D, 3PL, and the supplier organizations is essential. Duties include communicating NCM and providing NCM evidence to suppliers, creating corrective action plans to address process failures, utilize quality tools and data analysis to measure effectiveness of corrective actions, review supplier manufacturing processes, work in partnership with suppliers on process improvement, value enhancement opportunities, and perform PPAP's (Production Part Approval Process). Additional task as directed by manager. Safety glasses, steel toes and daily attendance are required at the PTO facility.
