Hourly Pay Range: $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:
- Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient. Exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects, properly cares for, and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately. Adheres to principles of asepsis; appropriately handling any break that may occur in sterile technique.
- Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
- Performs in the 2nd circulator role, under the supervision of a RN, performing advanced technical core competency skills including skin prep, monitoring equipment, positioning, urinary catheter insertion and care, Carelink Surgical Manager date/time entry, video equipment set-up, and operation of unit specific equipment. Additional duties may include laser operator, IV line maintenance and POC competencies (BG; ISTAT).
- Manages inventory/equipment for a specialty area(s) and builds and maintains physician resource maps in the Carelink Surgical Manager System.
- Serves as a technical resource to peers. Collaborates with peers, Director, and Clinical Coordinators to maximize best clinical practices to achieve positive patient outcomes. Participates in corporate and/or unit level team or councils related to unit performance improvement. Precepts new employees. Assists in developing unit based education and skills labs.
What you will need:
- Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in a Main OR or Day Surgery Center
- Specialty-certified and maintains continuing education hours per certification renewal cycle
- On-the job validation in specific core competencies for Surgical Technologist Level II.
- Must possess current CPR certification (AHA/BLS)
