The Retail Buyer is responsible for collaborating with other buyers on the team and develop an all-encompassing merchandise plan for each unique retail outlet for Mammoth Resorts and Crystal Mountain. Including but not limited to weekly execution for forecasting, planning, analyzing, and operational follow-through to all retail outlets, while adhering to company and divisional strategies. A critical success factor for the Retail Buyer will be the ability to work closely with our industry partners, destination leaders, and to understand current and future trends along with opportunities to maximize our position as a destination retailer and to grow our business in the assigned categories. Requirements: 2-3 years of related professional experience. Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Business, or other related field and or related experience preferred. Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and present information in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. Organization and Time Management: Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources to be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and financial skills. Ability to analyze trends and make independent judgements which have considerable impacts on the organization. Able to problem solve and work with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with the Mammoth Mountain Resorts and action sports industry. Must have a valid California driver's license with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years. Travel Requirements: Yes (Due to the remote location, airports are not open year-round, and employee may need to commute to nearest major airport via vehicle up to 300 miles to Los Angeles or Reno, NV). Hourly pay rate: $24.84 to $27.04 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
