THE ROLE

Under supervision, assists in the development of system and workflow strategies to promote provision of consistent and accurate data throughout the organization. Assists business units and reporting team members in identifying and documenting data needs across distribution units. Collects, updates, and distributes data to internal and external MFS business partners in compliance with the Portfolio Holdings Disclosure Policy. Assists with the development of standard reporting processes and reviews to support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc requests using existing reporting tools.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Works with business units to identify short and long-term workflow, system and data needs for clients, marketing, and reporting. Proposes workflow and system strategies tailored to meet business goals for timely, accurate and consistent data.

  • Assist the team to review business user requests to determine appropriate data sourcing and availability. Facilitate the generation and distribution of data and reports for client, marketing and reporting needs

  • Assist the team to develop and provide system training to personnel across the distribution units to promote efficient and consistent use of existing source systems and data.

  • Provides quality assurance services by conducting system, report and process testing.

  • Collects, updates, and distributes data to MFS business users in compliance with the Portfolio Holdings Disclosure Policy. Fulfills ad hoc data and reporting requests for internal and external business partners where data is not readily available to the requester.

  • Maintains written policies, procedures, and checklists for Reporting, ensuring procedures are kept up to date.

  • Maintains records of data requests and drives for data files.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.

  • 0-2+ years' experience in portfolio administration, reporting or analysis in the financial services industry.

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational skills required.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, spreadsheet proficiency required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals through written communication or in person.

PREFERRED:

  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to make independent decisions and develop creative solutions to meet business goals.

  • Proven commitment to accuracy.
