Overview:

The Executive Director-Operations will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer at Mercy Hospital South and will work closely with the Medical Directors overseeing Hospitalist, OB Hospitalist, Emergency Deparment, Intensivist, and Trauma service lines. The Executive Director-Operations will be responsible for hospital-based operations, strategic operations and initiatives, financial performance, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and caregiver statisfaction. Will also support system wide committees and task forces as assigned. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, providers and caregivers. Must be a selfstarter and able to work independently. The incumbent in this position shall integrate the Mercy Values of Dignity, Justice, Service, Excellence and Stewardship into his/her management style. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Five (5) years of healthcare leadership experience for those meeting degree requirements. In lieu of degree, 10 years of leadership experience in an applicable healthcare setting.
• Required Education: HS diploma and Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Preferred Education: Master's degree. MHA or MBA.
• Other: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and establish and maintain working relationships with physicians, staff and the public. Ability to organize. Able to meet deadlines. Self-motivated.
