Position Summary
Assist the Dean in the overall administration and daily activities of a multi-campus Admissions department. Ensures students are supported from their admissions and enrollment to their graduations, including:
Processing of all applications in a timely fashion and answering any student questions on the application process. Overseeing the enrollment process, getting students signed up for classes that align with their pathways and connecting with advisors on challenges and needs. Assists in executing graduation ceremonies for all students.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College. Ability to interpret, understand and apply comprehensive knowledge of innovative technology platforms related to and in support of the holistic student experience. Experience leading or managing major change initiatives including knowledge and skill in process improvement, project planning, conflict resolution, team building, customer service, and data-based decision-making concepts. Ability to identify and address opportunities and challenges that arise as a result of Dallas College's current transition. General knowledge and experience in working with student success programs. Experience with current and emerging technology related to admissions, enrollment and the registrar function. Knowledge of Guided Pathways and Navigate. An understanding of contemporary issues in higher education is required through professional development activities. Ability to identify, address, and collaborate with other leaders on solutions to barriers preventing a significant portion of our population from having a job that pays a living wage. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex ideas and information to a variety of stakeholders/constituents within the Dallas College community network related to career and academic requirements. Experience interpreting, articulating, and implementing a variety of regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to admissions to ensure compliance with Dallas College, state and federal requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of the key interactions between the functions of Student Success (Admissions & Registrar) and Academic Affairs (Curriculum & Instruction). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students. Experience in operational planning, policy development, and outcome/needs assessment for admissions and enrollment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide creative and energetic leadership in the development, execution, and ongoing improvement of student admissions, enrollment and graduation practices and processes that embody the values and goals of Dallas College. Provide leadership of admissions and enrollment efforts in collaboration with the entire College community. Maintain effective communication between students and faculty within the College and external community stakeholders. Ensures that appropriate and timely follow-up is made with applicants as they move through the enrollment process. Deploy data-informed and results oriented admissions and enrollment programs. Utilize technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports and communicate with others. Assists Dean in the overall responsibility for directing the activities of the personnel engaged in performing the functions of the assigned areas. Assists in assessing needs; assists in the supervision and coordination in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and associated staff. Develops budgets; monitors and approves department expenditures. Prepares reports, proposals and recommendations for overall programs; keeps detailed records of assigned activities. Represents and perform job duties and responsibilities for the Dean in his/her absence. Conducts presentations and workshops promoting Admissions and Enrollment policies and procedures to Dallas College faculty, staff and community organizations. Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year. Performs other duties as assigned.
