Mechanical Claims Specialist Location: Remote (Initial training required on-site)

We're seeking a Mechanical Claims Specialist to join a growing customer contact team where your mechanical expertise will be put to great use-without turning a wrench. What You'll Do * Evaluate Mechanical Claims: Use your technical knowledge to assess repair requests and determine warranty coverage. * Communicate with Confidence: Handle inbound calls and emails from dealerships and vehicle owners, explaining claim decisions and guiding them through the process. * Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide empathetic, knowledgeable support to customers, ensuring a positive experience even in challenging situations. * Collaborate & Document: Work closely with internal teams and maintain accurate electronic records using company systems. * Support the Process: Help customers understand next steps, from getting a quote to claim resolution. Types of Calls You'll Handle * Dealership Inquiries: Confirm if proposed repairs are covered under warranty using provided guidelines. * Customer Questions: Explain claim approvals or denials in clear, non-technical language. * Repair Guidance: Advise customers on how to initiate a claim and what steps to take for coverage. What You Bring Required: * 3+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician or in a related mechanical role * Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes * Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously * High school diploma or GED Preferred: * Experience with AllData, Mitchell, or similar labor guide tools * Familiarity with scan tools and diagnostic equipment * ASE certification * Bilingual (Spanish/English) Soft Skills That Set You Apart * Empathetic and customer-focused * Detail-oriented and organized * Self-motivated and able to work independently * Comfortable in a fast-paced, call center environment Additional Details * Training: Must be available to attend a 2-week onboarding program on-site (location provided upon offer) * Schedule: Occasional Saturday shifts required * Work Environment: Remote or hybrid options available; must have high-speed internet and a quiet home workspace Ready to make the shift?
