Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is a 30-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, emergency, women's services, cardiology, general surgery, rehabilitation, withdrawal stabilization and surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
  • Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction
  • Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay
  • Evaluate and record images for technical quality
  • Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images
  • Maintain inventory of supplies assigned to the area; prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities
  • Perform required QA/QC functions, including monitoring the Nuclear Medicine Department with a portable Geiger Counter for possible contamination
  • Perform nuclear cardiology studies including image acquisition and processing and monitoring patient vital signs

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program with advanced training and certification in Nuclear Medicine
  • ARRT (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • BLS certification
  • Competency in compounds of Nuclear Medicine practice
