Job Details

Under general direction of the Senior Director - Production Animal Business, supports the communication process, sales strategies and sales processes required to satisfy the ever-changing needs of current and prospective customers. Works directly with corporate sales teams, regional technology sales operations directors, regional sales operations directors, and regional associates to implement all elements of the sales and business process.

  • Manages the sales and business operations team, including accounting, production animal business coordinators, and billing specialists.

  • Acts as a liaison for the team to corporate and field sales organization.

  • Manages all organizational technology sales assignments and appropriate sales data with the regional sales directors (by region, segment, division, manager and sales representative).

  • Supports the director of business operations (technology) in managing the sales force forecasting and goal setting effort.

  • Maintains technology sales force compensation plan and incentive payouts. This may include assisting in the design of the plans to make sure they align to the business strategy.

  • Works closely with the Compensation department to facilitate technology sales team incentive payouts.

  • Ensures successful working relationships are maintained with internal cross functional and sales teams to optimize the customer experience.

  • Leads team in process development and maintains standard operating procedures for the department.

  • Maintains frequent contact with internal and external customers to address all issues with assigned area of responsibility.

  • Troubleshoots and works with regional associates to enforce consistency within and across regions.

  • Responsible for coordinating pricing updates with Pricing team and validate via data extract to confirm accuracy.

  • Leads or participates in other projects as requested.

  • Trains, supports, and develops team members.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Background in Animal Health is preferred.

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, compensation, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program.

  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years related and progressively responsible experience.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager.

  • Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations, ability to convert analysis into business trending, projections and recommend actions.

  • Strong mathematical skills, knowledge of general accounting and finance principles.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Excellent integration, implementation and management skills

  • Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Communicates Effectively: Communicate thoughts, ideas, information and messages completely and accurately; composes and creates documents with language and format appropriate to the subject matter; strong attention to detail; and checks, edits, and revises writing for correct information. Strong customer service interpersonal and decision-making skills.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking. Recognizes that a problem exists; identifies possible reasons for the discrepancy and devises and implements a plan of action to resolve it.

  • Organize and Maintain Information: Ability to handle multiple tasks. Organizes processes and maintains information in a systematic fashion. Strong organizational skills with emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Flexible/Adaptable: Views change or problems as an opportunity to grow professionally and to develop new and better ways to do things; adjusts readily to alternations in routine; copes effectively with changes in scope of type of work.

  • Can be located anywhere within the United States.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
