Job Description:

Airbus America's is looking for a Site Security Operations Manager to join the team in Mobile, Alabama.

In this role, you will operate on a daily basis with a great deal of autonomy and will be responsible for the oversight and management of daily security operations at the Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS).You will play the primary role in identifying solutions and improvements for operational gaps in the security posture. At least of the time spent performing this job will be gathering and analyzing the service provider's KPI's and performance data, and assuring continual improvement measures are enacted.

Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:

Daily Security Operations Management: 50%

  • Security operations within your AOR include the following and their support devices (not an exhaustive list): Armed guarding services, reception-filtering-and physical access, security administrative services, incident response and support, security business services, aviation security measures, any other applicable activity for the FAL as outlined in the Airbus Core Work Specifications, Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) operations management, parking enforcement, service provider KPI measurement and contractual enforcement, service provider operational control oversight (SQCDP), mass communication platform (Everbridge) management, service provider SOP review and alignment with Airbus standards-processes-procedures, service provider readiness measurement via TTX and live exercises, etc.

  • Operational security activities including self delivered and third party security solutions

Assessments, Support and Deliverables: 25%

  • Regular security risk assessments and risk reporting related to security operations

  • Liaise with the Airbus Security Management team and Airbus' Security Partners to ensure a standardized and harmonized approach to daily activities and processes are achieved at the Airbus Americas Mobile FAL.

  • Oversee the emergency planning and response for the armed security service provider at the FAL by;

    • ensuring suitable and sufficient measures are in place for all foreseeable emergencies and the testing thereof,

    • liaising with the FAL's Fire & Emergency Services Manager to ensure proper and adequate coordination between armed security and fire and rescue service providers is in place.

  • Ensure the fulfill the requirements laid out in the Airbus Security directives, identifying gaps and improvements and implementing the solutions.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant external organizations and law enforcement agencies. (Mobile Airport Authority, TSA, CBP, Mobile Police, others)

  • Manage the Car Parking Processes meeting customer, employee, visitor and contractor needs.

  • Oversee and manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the Security Service Provider contract via a Performance Management System (PMS). Key objectives of PMS management will ensure:

    • The Purchaser's service outputs and minimum maintenance standards are met.

    • The Service Provider's input specifications to satisfy the Purchaser's output service levels are achieved

    • The Service is Purchaser focused.

    • The services continue to represent value for money to the Purchaser.

    • Serves as a mechanism for continual improvement.

    • The resource planning proposed by a supplier is delivered and continuously responds to the expressed requirements of the Purchaser

  • A primary method for ensuring PMS management will be via implementing and maintaining a regular cadence of SQCDP (safety, quality, cost, delivery, people) reviews to include inclusion of Fire Management

  • Liaise with Business Continuity Management to implement BCP plan

  • Maintain Incident Reporting tool and ensure compliance of tool with security vendor

Professional Development, Compliance and Budgeting: 20%

  • Maintain oversight and control of the operational security budget (Opex and Capex) in accordance with the Airbus Americas Director of Security Operations' directives. This includes the creation, management and good receipts of relevant AOR purchase orders.

  • Participate in the Airbus Crisis Management Team as an alternate when needed

  • Maintain currency in security best practices and lead activities to identify efficient, innovative and cost effective security solutions to emerging challenges.

  • Developing strong customer relations with the client leadership team

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned: 5%

  • Investigation of theft and fraud allegations, near misses and road traffic collisions

  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc security checks including penetration testing

  • Produce monthly reports as required

  • Active participation in local, trans-divisional and transnational security working groups as required

Your Boarding Pass: (Required for consideration)

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

  • 5+ years in security management or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years in operations based security management

  • Comprehensive experience in computer skills, G-SUITE

  • Demonstrable application in the use of security risk assessment to define a mitigation measure

  • Complementary skills in risk management and emergency planning

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with an ability to analyze and assess complex issues

  • Proven ability to manage several critical tasks simultaneously while operating in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

  • Proven ability to grasp technology solutions in an integrated site + national/international enterprise security posture

  • Google Suite (GMail, Chat, Meet, Slides, Sheets, Calendar)

  • Authorized to work in the USA

  • 5% Domestic and International travel ability

Preferred Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in an applicable field of study

  • Experience with managing a security contractor

  • Industrial manufacturing security and/or law enforcement experience

  • ASIS certifications (PSP, CPP, APP, PCI)

  • Experience in Milestone video management system

  • Experience in SiPass access control system

  • Tracforce Guardtek incident reporting platform

  • Everbridge mass communication platform

Physical Requirements:

  • 95% on Site at Mobile FAL

  • Daily, able to see and read a computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

  • Daily, able to hear, to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Daily, able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

  • Daily, able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and tools.

  • At least once a month able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • At least once a month able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • At least once a month, able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Several times weekly, able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on a computer.

  • Several times weekly able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Several times weekly able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

  • 5% of the time able to travel independently and at short notice.

  • Multiple times daily, able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site

  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
