Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits. Position Summary: The Keyhani Lab is seeking a one-year Visiting Research Specialist. The successful candidate will lead efforts at genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation, bioinformatic analyses of large dataset related to transcriptomics, proteomics, and/or metabolomics. The successful candidate should have a strong background in bioinformatics and molecular biology, as well as practical skills in the most standard methods currently used in molecular biology/biochemistry (such as protein expression, purification, etc.). Experience in machine learning tools relevant to genome evolution and genome database management is preferred. The successful candidate would conduct research and assist with training laboratory personnel in various bioinformatic techniques, annotations, genome assembly, basic experimental design and interpretation, and the appropriate use of research equipment. He/She would perform data analysis and manage, document, and help with the dissemination of research activities for publication and outreach. Duties & Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications
