Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits. The Procurement Officer is responsible for the procurement of drugs and supplies for the outpatient pharmacies and various outpatient clinics. The procurement of drugs and supplies will be done in accordance with the University's purchasing policy, purchasing contracts, drug purchasing accounts for the various pharmacies, and sound buying practices. Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Wood Street Pharmacy Assistant Director and the Procurement Officer Supervisor, Procurement Officer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Purchasing Purchasing Support Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: 1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the categories below of which six (6) months must be actual work experience: A. Work experience performing duties comparable to those performed at the Procurement Officer Assistant level of this series or in positions of comparable responsibility. AND/OR B. College credit for course work in any field
NOTE: Possession of a current Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) from The Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC), or a current Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) certificate, Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) or equivalent certifications may satisfy the above requirements.
