Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Technician III to join our team onsite in Beverly, MA! The Quality Technician III will perform in-process and final product verification. This individual is also responsible for verifying materials (piece parts, assembled product) are acceptable to use for production and shipping to our customers.Additionally, the Quality Technician III will support and maintain our Quality Management System through a variety of other quality functions as needed, including equipment calibration, product testing, and archiving completed quality records.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual, document review, and measurement tests.
  • Utilize calibrated tools for piece part measurements.
  • Utilize microscopes for visual verification.
  • Read and understand technical and dimensional drawings.
  • Review paperwork to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Document results by completing reports, logs, and inputting data into quality database.
  • Write non-conforming reports for materials out of specified parameters and track them to completion.
  • Scan and archive completed paperwork.
  • Perform test operations as necessary.
  • Regularly interact with engineering groups, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and work relationships within the department, the group, the Corporation, and the community.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills
  • 2 years plus of relevant experience as a Quality Technician or Inspector (electronics or machining industry preferred).
  • Experience with measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing, materials, processing, and testing.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office for record keeping and reports.
  • Ability to read, follow customer drawings, process, and test instructions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to wear the required Protective Equipment
  • Experience using an ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta preferred.
  • Experience with ISO9001 preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals of all levels.
  • This position requires travel of 0-10%.
