Position summary:

The Natural Gas System Scheduler II is responsible for performing all aspects of regulated natural gas scheduling, gas volume allocations, and invoicing duties for multiple regulated LDC natural gas pipelines providing transportation service to shippers on mainline and distribution pipeline systems owned by the Company. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, shipper imbalance management; ensuring Shipper compliance with all Company tariffs; monitoring of pipeline operating conditions; communication with gas control, measurement, field operations personnel, engineering, and any other department within the Company as needed; maintaining transportation contract data in transactional scheduling/billing system; responding to customer inquiries; testing system upgrades; troubleshooting customer issues; managing customer access to system; cross-functional training.

Pay Range: This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
Level II: $71,100 - $106,600
Senior: $84,600 - $126,900

Reporting Relationship: Transportation Services Manager/Supervisor

Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa

Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance is available based on individual circumstances! Details to be shared during the offer process.

Essential Functions:
* Performs routine and non-routine natural gas scheduling, & gas allocation duties with limited supervision, on all Company natural gas pipelines.
* Monitors nominated vs. flowing volumes to address variances on all Black Hills pipelines.
* Schedules gas on inter/intrastate pipeline EBB systems.
* Tracks Shipper compliance with all terms of Company tariffs
* Performs end of month closing tasks including actualization of pipes/trades. Interacts closely with internal accounting and third parties to help resolve any discrepancies that arise in monthly settlement.
* Gains a working knowledge of pipeline operations (including, but not limited to, constraints, interconnects, and balancing rules
* Manages processes with users of electronic transportation management system(s) known as Quorum Pipeline Transaction Management system ("QPTM")
* Participate in weekend and evening on-call coverage as needed.
* Performs end of month closing tasks including actualization of pipes/trades. Interacts closely with internal accounting and third parties to help resolve any discrepancies that arise in monthly settlement.

Additional Responsibilities:
* May be required to respond to company business during non-working hours, including weekends and holidays.
* Regularly use spreadsheets, database, and word processing software, and periodically learn new programs

What Is Required:
Level II:
* Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the natural gas industry or coordinating/scheduling materials movement
Senior:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry or coordinating/scheduling materials movement.
