Organization Development Director We are seeking someone who brings energy, insight, and a consultative approach to helping organizations thrive. This role is more than delivering OD services-it's about forming trusted partnerships, designing smart solutions, and making a measurable difference in the lives of employees and the leaders who support them. The Organizational Development Director acts as a consultant to our members and is responsible for assessing organizational structures, processes, and culture to identify areas for improvement and alignment with their strategic objectives. Acting as an independent advisor, the consultant collaborates with member company leadership teams to design and implement solutions that enhance overall business performance, employee satisfaction and engagement, and organizational resilience. MRA's business and office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, though there will be some variations based on member and MRA assignments, projects, responsibilities, and department expectations. We have a "hybrid" working arrangement, with the expectation of working three days a week in the office or at another MRA location as needed, including member locations, for full-time MRAers. Key Responsibilities include:
- OD Service Delivery: Partner with members to assess needs and implement interventions that create positive employee experiences, increase leader effectiveness, improve team dynamics and productivity, increase employee engagement, and enhance organizational performance.
- Business Development: Secondary contact for intake/scoping calls and developing proposals for Coaching and OD projects.
- Team member: Participate in planning, developing, and evaluating OD, Coaching, and Assessment services and programs at all locations. Provide feedback on direction for use of assessments as they relate to OD engagements; provide guidance to members; facilitate member requests for assessments.
Job Requirements
- Business experience: Demonstrated experience in effectively recommending sound organization development practices to member companies. Demonstrated capability to provide advisory and coaching support to leadership and employee development programs.
- Business development experience: Experience scoping and selling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills: interact with managers and executive teams.
- Facilitation skills: lead team development workshops.
- Expertise and in-depth knowledge of employee engagement: research, trends, best practices, and benefits of high engagement to companies
- Ability to apply models: organizational effectiveness and change management. Initiative, self-starter, and team member who enjoys a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in OD, HRD, social sciences, or a related discipline is required (Masters preferred).
- Licenses/Certificates: such as trade certificates, driver's licenses, etc.
- Professional certifications: such as organization development, professional coaching, emotional intelligence, Myers-Briggs, DiSC, and other developmental assessments.
- Valid Driver's license: local and regional travel to member companies will be required 20-25% of the time. Travel mostly in Minnesota; occasional overnight travel.
