SUMMARY The Director, Civic Infrastructure leads the strategic expansion of AMPP's programs and services across the transportation, water/wastewater, Air Force, and Army sectors. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market influence, and increasing revenue through targeted business planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution of high-impact initiatives. The Director will position AMPP's standards, certifications, and accreditation programs within owner specifications, procurement policies, and regulatory frameworks. This individual ensures strategy translates into measurable action, builds strategic partnerships, and strengthens AMPP's visibility and influence within the civic and federal infrastructure markets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned Strategic Planning & Business Growth * Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with AMPP's organizational goals. External Relations & Influence * Build and maintain strong relationships with asset owners, regulatory agencies, and government entities to influence procurement policies, project scopes, and specifications. Program & Contract Management * Lead proposal development and submission processes, including bid coordination and pipeline tracking. Operational Execution & Internal Alignment * Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure offerings align with market needs and are delivered effectively. Measurement & Reporting * Establish and manage customer relationship management CRM systems and performance tracking tools to support forecasting, reporting, and data-informed decision-making. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct leadership to assigned cross-functional teams, including project coordination, performance oversight, and strategic alignment of goals. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Up to 50-60% travel is required, including both domestic and international trips. A valid passport is required. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, public administration, or a related field required. LANGUAGE SKILLS The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional verbal, written, and public speaking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, including executives, government officials, and global partners. Skilled in drafting clear reports, proposals, and strategic communications, and experienced in interpreting technical publications, industry standards, and regulatory documents. Proven ability to prepare high-impact presentations, briefings, and white papers for senior-level and international stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills across political, defense, and cross-cultural contexts are essential. MATHEMATICAL and ANALITICAL SKILLS Brings advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities to support business development, financial modeling, performance tracking, and strategic forecasting. Applies business math concepts such as ratios, Rate of Investment (ROI) analysis, and pricing strategy to real-world scenarios. Able to interpret engineering data, dashboards, and market insights to guide strategic decisions and identify new growth opportunities. Proficient in the use of CRM systems and performance tools to evaluate and optimize sales and business initiatives. REASONING ABILITY Exhibits strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess complex situations, and develop actionable strategies. Skilled in interpreting written, verbal, and visual inputs to address operational challenges and adapt plans to dynamic business environments. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration, staff development, and strategic execution. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and association-specific systems. Known for professionalism, adaptability, and discretion, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
