DLZ is seeking a talented and experienced Transportation Engineer - Project Manager to join our team in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland, Ohio. This pivotal role involves leading and contributing to diverse transportation engineering projects from concept to completion. What You'll Do:

  • Lead Project Lifecycle: Manage and/or design multi-disciplinary transportation engineering projects from planning and procurement through detailed design and close-out.
  • Provide Technical Oversight: Perform and direct others in complex transportation civil engineering design.
  • Support Business Development: Assist with marketing, including client discovery, technical proposals, and interviews.
  • Manage Contracts & Clients: Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring contractual commitments are met and resolving project issues.
  • Control Project Performance: Plan project scope, procedures, and budgets, while monitoring fees, schedules, and quality control.
  • Ensure Compliance: Review and address health and safety concerns on projects and work with accounting for accurate billing.
  • Engage Professionally: Actively participate in civic and professional activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5 - 15 years of experience in Roadway / Transportation design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration required. Must be registered in Ohio or able to obtain registration within 3
  • months of the start date.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and InRoads and/or AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Proven experience with ODOT projects and LPA Federal Aid projects.
  • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
