The opportunity

Adobe Design is looking for an experienced design leader to join our Document Cloud team working on extending Adobe Acrobat features and functionalities across a multitude of surfaces and partnerships, as well as infusing key functionality from Adobe Express into Acrobat to democratize beautiful design for the everyday knowledge worker, solopreneur, and individual around the world.
With more than 600 million monthly active users, Adobe Document Cloud products (which include Adobe Acrobat, Sign, and Scan, to name just a few) are ubiquitous in the lives and work of more than 600 million monthly active users. Document Cloud also remains the fastest growing cloud in all of Adobe.

The Document Cloud design team has a long and rich legacy while still being recognized for innovation year after year. We were recognized for TIME's Best Inventions of 2023 with our work in Liquid Mode. And that legacy of visionary experiences continues with Acrobat's AI Assistant being named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2024.

About us

Adobe Design is looking for an innovative Senior Staff Experience Designer to join our Document Cloud team working on the Adobe Acrobat mobile app.

About you

As a key design team member and inspiring leader on this team, you'll play an integral part in crafting the next generation of productivity tools at Adobe! We are working on projects that help people consume, comprehend, create, and collaborate on documents in new ways. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage user insights and data-driven design to create engaging, user-centered experiences that not only attract and retain users but also enhance the overall value proposition of our product.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with product managers, product marketing, engineers, and other designers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Define design strategy, craft visions for products and experiences, and share with senior executives using your storytelling skills.

  • Explore design ideas via sketches, storyboards, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.

  • Establish consistency and efficiency throughout the design and development process by utilizing and evolving scalable design systems.

  • Mentor and lead other designers to maximize their design impact by fostering growth and elevating design quality through feedback and collaboration.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify complex problems, create actionable plans, and implement solutions, even in ambiguous circumstances.

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years of industry experience in product design with a proven track record of success, and a strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design and cross-platform execution.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, and best practices for mobile design.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders and executive leaders.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of working independently.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while working with teams across time zones and different geographic regions.

  • Experience working iteratively with engineering and product management teams to bring the design vision to life.

  • Excellent design craftsmanship combined with strong business intuition.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $157,300 -- $292,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
