Position Summary

The role of the Estimator is to work with customers and the sales team to review and provide quotes based on customer requirements. This person will be responsible for either CNC or Sheet Metal estimating.

Essential Functions

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Identify labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents
Compute costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements
Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data
Complete required GD&T training
Complete blueprint reading training
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Conduct quality inspections, including First Article, in-process, and final inspections on products.

Education & Professional Experience

High School Diploma or GED required
BA/BS preferred
Ability to read blueprints & understanding of measurement equipment
Previous work with computer programs such as CAD, Solidworks, etc.
Experience with Quote Software Platforms-Salesforce/CRM/Mie Trakis a plus!
1-3 years' experience in estimating (manufacturing preferred)

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Office environment
There may be an occasional need to be out on the manufacturing floor at times, where required PPE must be worn
