The Sr. Manager, Distribution (USA & Canada) will support the key initiatives and day to day activities within distribution activities across USA & Canda. They will manage the contract relationships and day-to-day activities between New Era and its 3PL distribution network to ensure on time order execution and world class order management operations that best reflect New Era's Brand and product to our valued customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead 3PL distribution partner - execute SLA's, develop annual and operating forecasts, budgeting and initiative planning, expansions as predicated by the business, and lead systems enhancements between WMS and SAP
  • Manage Budgets & Financial Performance to control costs and ensure that distribution operations meet financial targets
  • Integrate Internal & Business Requirements into plan and DC Activities
  • Ensure fill rates, on-time deliveries and lead times are achieved within the region
  • Continually collaborate cross functionally to evaluate how goods are distributed to ensure efficient handling alternatives while supporting marketing brand initiatives
  • Ensure best in class WMS technology in the distribution network infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie a supply chain operation
  • Source new and leverage existing distribution partners to ensure market competitive rates and services while ensuring key business KPI's are maintained
  • Manage, implement and maintain SOP's, data and analytical models for the region
  • Contribute to distribution systems solutions with IT to provide and maintain best-in-class solutions that provide accurate and timely information
  • Develop forecast plans for inbound and outbound workflows to be presented to Leadership focusing on process improvement, efficiencies and cost savings
  • Work with leadership to develop capacity plans and staffing projections
  • Responsible for customer chargeback review and developing corrective action plans
  • Oversee management activities of staffing levels around peak shipping periods related to major sporting events including MLB, NFL, and NBA championships
  • Work with Quality Control on audits and process follow ups as needed
  • Support leadership in developing and analyzing current state and future inventory positions
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High energy, well-rounded leader with functional experience across distribution
  • Ability to managing 3PL partners
  • Experience in highly automated facilities focused on B2B/B2C operations (Goods to Person, Zone Route, Pick to Light, etc.)
  • Strong analytical experience and business intelligence platforms - preferably with Tableau
  • Strong project management experience with demonstrated cross functional project management and leadership
  • Ability to maintain up to date knowledge of trends, best practices and market pricing for services within distribution field.
  • Experience in supply chain technology/processes such as SAP, JIT and ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources
  • Experienced negotiator who rewards service providers for accomplishing specific KPI's
  • Strong analytical, financial & P&L skillset
  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
  • Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible and execute accordingly
  • Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field required; additional experience with be considered in lieu of degree
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in distribution or supply chain operations
  • Experience with distribution contracts preferred
  • APICS certification a plus

Travel Requirement

  • The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY
  • 50%+ (Domestic - Bernville, PA)

The salary range for this posted position is $90,000 - $120,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
