DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Equipment Operator B, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all road maintenance equipment and trucks to ensure the proper condition and maintenance of the Loyalsock State Forest road system and related facilities. You will utilize a wide-range of specialized equipment to maintain, repair, improve, or construct forestry roads and trails in order to keep them safe and passable for all district and public usage. You will also participate in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure safe and working condition. This professional provides assistance to the maintenance repairman with general grounds maintenance, as well as maintenance for interior and exterior of buildings, including painting and roof repair. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hour/week.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, and 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Occasional overtime and travel.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL).
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
