We are presently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team, located in Billerica, MA. This position requires a motivated individual who can perform a variety of accounting and finance tasks as the organization grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform month-end and quarter-end closing accounting tasks including preparation/input of journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Ensure that reconciliations and supporting schedules and analysis are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly closing schedule.
• Process corporate expense requisitions ensuring proper expense classification
• Assists with identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Ensure processes and procedures are compliant with internal controls
• Provide documentation and analysis to internal and external auditors
• Backup as assigned, to ensure coverage and resilience within the department.
• Special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience required
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications
• Attention to detail and focus on tasks at hand
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Communicate effectively, understanding when and what level to escalate issues
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience with S4/HANA, Blackline and OneStream preferred
• Blackline and/or OneStream experience a plus
