ABOUT THE JOB

This position is accountable for the overall supervision of the Quality staff for assigned location(s). The Quality Supervisor will provide leadership, guidance, employee development and cross functional support. Responsible for meeting all regulatory and certification requirements.

* Supervise and support the development and performance of Quality team for location
* Perform review of batch records, cleaning records, conducting line clearances, and other production support. Complete trending analysis and report potential issues to management.
* Perform and/or facilitate third party product testing on raw materials, in-process, and final product.
* Ensure laboratory(s) meets all applicable company, local, state, and federal policies, and regulations.
* Provide disposition for the receipt, inspection, and release of raw, in - process, finished product, packaging materials and processing aids
* Manage product safety programs and applicable certifications at the site
* Writes and reviews SOP's and other quality system documentation; prepares and maintains technical documentation in support of QA programs.
* Conducts internal audits of the facility to assure standards are met, and to identify deficiencies; completes audit follow-up to assure effectiveness of improvements.
* Participate in customer and regulatory audits and assist with corrective and preventive actions as a result of audit findings
* Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up (applicable to positions working in accordance with specific plant or company certifications).
* Support investigation processes and leads investigations as necessary.
* Manage Quality programs and site-specific projects
* Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed.

ABOUT YOU:

* Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
* Previous leadership experience preferred
* Minimum five-year experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO, SQF, FAMI-QS, IPEC, GMP, cGMP, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of testing methodology
* Experience with inspections, auditing, root cause analysis tools, CAPA, nonconformance and product complaint investigations, change control, document control, product and process lifecycle development, and training
* Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications - Outlook, Word, Excel
* Problem solving, troubleshooting, time management and organization skills
* Ability to communicate well with all disciplines and levels at the facility and corporate.
* Ability to communicate effectively in writing, including report and technical writing skills

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

TRAVEL:

Up to 10%

Expected Compensation: $80,000-$95,000 + 10% bonus eligibility
