GENERAL SUMMARY:

Reporting to the manager of executive communications, this individual will play a vital role in supporting internal and external communications strategies, with a strong focus on executive communications, which support the organization's leadership, and media relations.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive Communications Support



  • Assisting in developing and drafting executive remarks, talking points, op-eds, and other strategic messaging for public speaking engagements and media opportunities.
  • Support the social media presence of key leaders, including drafting posts and coordinating multimedia content in alignment with brand standards.
  • Contribute to the development and production of The BOBcast, Henry Ford Health's podcast hosted by President & CEO Bob Riney. Responsibilities may include content planning, scheduling, scripting, promotion, and basic editing or coordination with producers.
  • Monitor executive visibility opportunities in the media and at events; assist with briefing materials and logistics. Media Relations Support.
  • Assist in drafting media materials including news releases, media advisories, pitches, and briefing documents.
  • Support media outreach and coordinate interview logistics for physicians, researchers and other experts.
  • Support team in press conferences, events, and milestone announcements.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR performance and media reach. Other Responsibilities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, digital, and other teams to amplify PR efforts.
  • Stay informed of healthcare trends, community issues, and organizational priorities to inform messaging strategies.
  • Support crisis communication and reputation management efforts as needed


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience through internship or entry-level positions in PR, agency, corporate communications, healthcare, or journalism.
