Overview

The Group Head of Data Management Framework is accountable for setting out and maintaining the bank's Data Management Standards in line with regulatory requirements, and designing and implementing bank-wide cross-divisional governance to enable transparency of progress made against the bank's data strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Group Data Management Standards and associated implementation frameworks, including but not limited to Critical Data Elements, Data Lineage, Authoritative Data Sources, and Data Ownership/Accountability at Source
  • Perform review & challenge role to support implementation by Divisional Data Officers (DDOs) as Subject Matter Expert on Data Management
  • Design and implement bank-wide Governance framework that measures progress of data management standards adoption; maintain and enhance associated KPIs
  • Maintain or contribute to bank's Data Management Policy
  • Engage with European and US regulators as primary Accountable Executive for DB's data management standards

How You'll Lead

  • Set cross-divisional priorities and KPI for area of responsibilities and oversee implementation
  • Run the cross-divisional Data Governance forum focused on Data Management Standards
  • Experienced in managing and collaborating with others and directing work efforts to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively

Skills You'll Need

  • Demonstrated experience in senior data leadership roles of comparable scale & complexity within highly regulated financial services environments.
  • Deep understanding of data management approach and standards needed to achieve compliance with BCBS 239 requirements and/or FRB Regulatory Reporting requirements
  • Proven experience successfully delivering as an Accountable Executive against regulatory requirements in data governance and/or data quality management
  • Working knowledge of front-to-back data supply chain and data architecture across 1st and 2nd LoD processes and controls in Financial Services, and specifically large banks
  • Experience establishing and maintaining "tone from the top" and promoting a culture of risk and compliance within a complex three lines of defense model, building upon culture, values, and behavior.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience working with Management Board level stakeholders
  • Able to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical / operational / business innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the business strategic priorities.

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $300,000 to $460,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
