Job Summary:
|
The Department of Dermatology, Section of Pediatric Dermatology, is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant at the Instructor level. This position is for outpatient dermatology clinics and the epidermolysis bullosa (EB) clinical program - both within the Children's Hospital Colorado system in the Denver metropolitan area. As a faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, you will be focused on providing quality patient care as a part of a highly engaged patient care team. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat common acute, episodic or chronic skin conditions in pediatric patients
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Perform minor procedures and biopsies
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed
- Coordinate care with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Coordinate care of patients seen in the epidermolysis bullosa clinics across outpatient, procedural, and inpatient settings

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO. Practice at a CHCO network of care site is also possible.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or a graduate of an accredited program in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current active license to practice in the state of Colorado as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant.
- Prescriptive authority in the State of Colorado is required.
- NP Certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner or PA by the appropriate national certifying body.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dermatology and/or with epidermolysis bullosa preferred
- DEA Certificate
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
- 2 or more years of relevant experience preferred

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $121,000 to $130,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
