Position Summary: The AV Support Technician will provide comprehensive audio-visual support for a government agency, ensuring the seamless operation of AV systems across conference rooms, briefing centers, and secure communication environments. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to operate within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities: * Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems including projectors, video conferencing (VTC), microphones, speakers, control systems, and displays. * Provide live event support for meetings, briefings, and secure communications, both in-person and virtual. * Maintain and update AV equipment inventory, documentation, and room configurations. * Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure AV systems are integrated and functioning within network and security parameters. * Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates on AV hardware. * Respond to and resolve AV-related service tickets in a timely manner. * Train end-users on AV system operation and best practices. * Ensure compliance with federal security protocols and agency-specific AV usage policies. Required Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in AV support, preferably in a government or secure environment. * Familiarity with AV platforms such as Cisco Webex, ZoomGov, Microsoft Teams (Gov), and Polycom systems. * Working knowledge of AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX). * Understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to AV over IP. * Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in tight spaces. Work Environment: * On-site support required; occasional travel between government facilities. * May involve early morning, evening, or weekend support for high-priority events. * Must adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols at all times. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
