Child Development Lab in the College of Education and Human Development Job Description
Serve as Child Development Associate Senior in a university-based early childhood to young children between the ages of 2 1/2 - 5 to 6 weeks - 28 months old. Child Development Associate Seniors are primarily responsible for caring and educating preschool children; planning, preparing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum activities that foster and encourage children's development; developing individual learning goals for each child; conducting developmental assessments; ensuring supportive communication with parents; and demonstrating effective early childhood teaching and classroom management skills to undergraduate students. The Child Development Associate Senior is expected to collaborate with the teaching team, other faculty, and practicum students to plan and execute a program that is developmentally sound, multi-culturally relevant, and sensitive to the range of individual differences reflected in our student, staff and family populations. 8 hour shift (Monday-Friday) Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Human Development, or another closely related field Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 hourly Application Materials
